Purnell "Knock you out" Gates, ([url=http://www.boxrec.com/record227805.html:21e0ua90]12/1/0 10ko's[/url:21e0ua90]) of Grandvill Michigan, after a devastating Ko victory over Veteran Terry Tock in Detroit Saturday night, has called out Julio Caezar Chavez jr, the son of ring legend Julio Caesar Chavez, to fight him after Chavez wins his fight this week on the Cotto / Malignaggi undercard in Madison Square Garden, New York.
" I think the kid is allot better fighter than people give him credit for", says Gates, " but lets see if he has any hart and fights me. Chavez has over twice as many fights as me but he fights all bums, I'll fight him any place, any time. If he's a real man he'll take the fight and see if he's half the fighter his Dad was".
Top Rank Boxing Promotions has been adding Chavez jr to most all of their fight cards yet an Agent for Top Rank says,"we do not pick who Julio fights, that's up to his Manager Fernando Beltran, who could not be reached for comment.
