Omar chavez fought last saturday... against a guy who was 8-14, not much to say about it, i believe omar dint learn anything from that fight... and oh people booed him by the way when referee raised his arm, seems that audience is already fed up of watching the chavez bros. fighting bums, at least in mexico, its alright to give a chance to learn but fighting a guy who is 8- 15 wont be much of a learning xperience.

how come they never anounced his fight in boxerc?by the way omar only has 19 fights.alot of people dont even know him he lives in the shadow of jr?and i would liek to ask you a question how come whne he was winning his fights by ko or tko in early year before nazareth you guys didnt even mention him at all and now that he doesnt ko he all over him.oh well.Omar after killing a fighter wont be teh same.Nazareth fight stoped his good moment taht he had.he holds his punches now.he is still 19 with 19 fight not bad to me peopel need to understand JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ will never live again.his sons are difrent fighters no ther mexfighter will be julio cesar chavez get that in your mind

mexican people back their fighters up regardless of where they come from, saul alvarez is well liked all over mexico as where junior and omar when they first started, people are just getting tired of watching them fight bad opponents, junior is ranked 1st contender to fight sergio martinez for the wbc belt, but that fight wont get made because of his promoters because of him because of his father whoever is to blame the fact is that that fight isn't happening anytime soon, and that sort of thing is what has made people lose their patience, myself included, that and the fact that almost all of his fights are on ppv.
so summing up i think people are tired of them getting everything before they earn it, so you are ranked number one make the fight so what if you lose, you learn from it dedicate yourself to getting better and better it don't matter if you dont have an amateur background and that kind of shit people always say when junior doesnt perform well, pacman didn't have an amateur background either.
personally i dont see anything wrong with losing a fight if you learn from it, its just that junior still has a big fan base even if its not as big as when he started its big enough to make arum and co. plenty of money and that is why they protect his Zero.

well i live in a city called hermosillo which is about 2 or 3 hours from obregon which incidentally is where omar fought, and he got booed there, jr. fought here in his first fight against vanda and he got booed and got all kinds of shit thrown at him, sr. went into the stands and was fighting a bunch of drunk dudes,hahahaha i mean they dot have to go to fight near the gulf to get a bad treatment.
and another thing i like to see a brawl as much as the next guy, but i don´t see nothing wrong with avoiding punches, if you got the skills then use them, mayweather is the best active boxer in the world right now, the guy has a lot of skills and yeah he might seem boring to people who want to see 2 guys beat the shit out of each other but to real boxing fans he is a delight to watch, boxing is about being able to dish punishment without receiving it and he does that perfectly, sure he gets a lot of criticism for the way he fights but he also has a lot of belts and his name among the all time greats.
saul alvarez hasn´t really fought anyone that you might consider a big threath but indirectly his competition has been better that jr´s, for example his last fight he fought tyner who went 12 with mike arnaoutis, who went 12 with former champions ricardo torres who knocked down cotto btw, and kendall holt who just went 12 with current jr welterweight champion tim bradley, tyner also fought lamont peterson who just went 12 with tim bradley also; michel rosales a guy that alvarez KOED in 10 is fighting former champion joshua clottey on january 16th 2010. so my point is that canelo might not be a great prospect either but his next opponent is always better than the last, he does not show signs of getting stuck, he is constantly improving and he is ranked high too, so he is close to getting a title shot also, personally i dont think that he can beat any of the current welterweight champions, but golden boy will get him a chance to prove me wrong soon.
and maybe arum was going to put up jr againt foreman and not martinez, but jr is ranked numer 1 in the wbc which makes him the mandatory defense for current wbc champion sergio martinez not yuri foreman who is now about to fight miguel cotto, i don´t know maybe you are right and jr is going to be great and canelo will end up sucking but so far it doesnt look like any of those two things are happening, i guess only time will tell.

Hey Rafreg, I was Born in Culiacan sinaloa, I lived there most of my life and the city is proudly hometown of Julio Cesar Chavez and I have great hope for omar and jr, Im not talking bad about omar, ko on the 2nd, he did what he was supposed to do, here in mexico, Omar is widely known, tv azteca broadcast all his fights nationwide, once he had ratings superior to Edgar Sosa who was actually undefeated champion, so people down here knows him very good. thats why im talking about the other guy, omar has faced way better guys in the past, I swear the guy he faced saturday was really bad, he could have ended the fight in half a round, thats why people are getting impatient. down here in mexico you see guys like edgar sosa who drives a cab to support his family, trains in a park literally in the middle of a boulevard, no resources, and managed to become a champion, and then they see the chavez brothers and how their records get inflated by fighting bums on primetime... Im a chavez supporter but I kinda understand why people boo them, they feel they should step up in competition, I mean, Troy Rowland wasnt supposed to be a test for jr, and on top of that he gives positive on a diuretic. people get dissapointed, especially if like I, have watched most of their fights and believe they need to get better oposition, Im not saying they are bad fighters, especially omar I believe he could be better than jr, but he is starting to feel the heat too for being jrs brother, he is being pressured at a younger age, but his people are not helping by putting him NOW against the worst man hes faced in the las 2 years...

Well guys we were all ready for jr to finally fight recognize names in 2010 maybe not mega stars but recognizes names.well when he comes back we are still waiting for him and he better come bakc against a recon name to get attention and respect back.But Omar chavez a 19 year old who has 19 fights and who is fighting 6 rounds an you gusy want him to be put against a big name?i dont get it.i agree on jr but.omar has to fight fights of 10 rounds first.But i'll tell you what every time i see omar i see something i hate to say it but something i never saw in JR and thats HUNGER he gets desprate to Ko his oponnents.and omar has a conftorbale weight 140 acording to sr Jr was always more lazy than omar to train.I want to See if jr can take a punch from a good puncher at 154 he has never been knockdown or wabble So i would like to see him against a good puncher and i would like to see if he can brawl with them.If he Losses the fight no big deal we'l see how he comes back.he will get credit and respect if he stand up good to a good 154 pounder.

thats rediculois are you comparing a 31 year old pro with a 23 year old pacman when he came to freadie roach was a disaster sloppy ass fighter no skills had 2 losses 1 draw and even with freddy it took him a long time to be a skilful fighter marquez outboxed him easily and morales also did.pacquiao started getting good finally in 2006 he was a perfect fighter before that he fought liek and amateur sertantly took freddy a long time to change him.Joe why dont you compare the pacquiao of 23 years old instead of the current pacquiao because the 23 year old pacquiao got KO by bums go search it.
