JULIO is going soon..to spar with kahn and pacquiao

it has been reported that JULIO jr will fly to L.A as soon as pacquiao camp arrives there he will train with the wole pacquiao crew...kahn will be there also.julio said he will have a 6 week training camp and taht he has been already training for 4 weeks.and also said he runs 8 miles daily.

ralphy that does not excuse Jr...He is in trainging w WHO? who is training him i guarntee he is not getting the work he needs...by that time the crew right now w pac and roach gonna be tight and in full sync...by that time pacmans training will be at the end and he will only get about 2 weeks training...i recently read a article of how things are going in phillipines i could break it down but i think the headline says a million words: Pacquiao's work ethic rubs off on sparmates

Well now the Pacman camp is in California now at the Wild Card Gym AND GUESS WHAT!!! Jr is still a no SHOW!!!...ITS OFFICIAL JR IS TAKING GOMEZ LIGHTLY!!!BIG MISTAKE!!!

You guys dont get it Gomez has been in this position his whole life...He is the underdog and thats how he likes it...He beat a much bigger Manfredo who is a middleweight...Yea Cotto dismantled Gomez but guess what guys Jr is not Cotto and Cotto was in his prime!!!...Jr is taking Gomez lightly and im sure word is getting back to him...that only makes Gomez work harder and harder...I like the kid Gomez...Ill be rooting for Jr but ill tell you what...Gomez wins i would not be mad at all he deserves it man he has worked very very hard for every inch...My boy Jr i have to admit has been pampered and given gifts throughout...Gomez has been given nothing and has been taking all he can...The hunger i think goes to Gomez his fam is poor and he is simply hungrier and fights anyone you put in front of him...JR STEP YOUR GAME UP BUDDY CAUSE YOU WILL GET A REALITY!!!

Cain, I get where you coming from, but didn't Pacman do little sparring in the Phillippines, like 1 week or so? Maybe he'll get more sparring time at Wild card.
From now until 12/4 Chavez has 6 weeks, which is about the same time he had w/ Roach before Duddy. I don't want to make excuses for him, but it seems his focus is on training w/ Roach, not sparring w/ Pacman.
Where did you hear he was a no show to the Wild Card Gym? I thought that was a lock.

I hear you Mic...My beef is that Pac is P4P the best he is getting older every day and those days are days he wont get back...I go hard on Jr cause when i go to other sites i defend him to the end...I think its only fair to his fans that he give us 100%...The knowledge and work ethic that Manny brings is priceless wether sparring or not just being in camp w roach khan and pacman the things he could be learning he is not...I understand your comment and makes sense just want to see that urgency from him...He has not arrived but he is very close...Pac fights in two weeks after that he wont be available to sparr...I read on Maxboxing that Jr is not in camp yet...The way i see it Jr should be in the gym w Roach all year long Roach has so many fighters i know its hard but Jr needs to become a Gym Rat wich he isnt...We all see the potential in this kid man its in his blood but it is not going to be handed to him...

i kinda agree with mic someone got in his head that he and manny will fight in the future...so maybe he is avoiding manny not that he is afraid but manny will know him very well i dont think taht fight will ever ever hapend but in boxing anything hapends specially with to big cash cows....i think jr only cares about roach and him..i have to hear roach talking about jr right now have any of you heard any interviews of raoch on jr recently

Well jr said he is training hard in culiacan, he also said he is doing the phisycal part now and that he is better than ever, he says he hasnt gained weight and is training harder than ever,and im with ralphy in this one, jr is really happy to be with roach and he said he chenged his life and wants to be for so many years with freddy, I think he is really serious about fighting pac, in his mind he is really confident and he says he has to get past gomez to get to cotto, and he is taking this gomez seriously. well have to wait and see.

I agree, he should make the most of his chance to spar w/ Pacman, what an opportunity. My point is that just because he's not sparrng w/ Pacman, doen't mean he's taking Gomez lightly. I thought he looked very good against Duddy, and I'm hoping he only gets better. Roach did praise Chavez for his work ethic last time. Plus, I already bought tickets to the Gomez fight, so he better not be slacking. Ha.

JUNIOR TIME?
I’m not exactly Kreskin but I never, ever thought for one nanosecond that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. would ever make his way to the Philippines, where Roach had hoped that Junior could provide sparring for Pacquiao. It’s pretty simple; if this guy could barely get to the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood for five-and-a-half-weeks prior to his fight with John Duddy, you weren’t going to get him to fly overseas for about that same amount of time.
"Your bet was as good as mine," said Roach, who figured all along that Chavez would be a no-show. "He’s not that kind of guy."
What was interesting was the reason given by Chavez of perhaps being a potential opponent for Pacquiao one day, he didn’t want to give him a good look at him inside the ring. In response, Roach said, "I know he just didn’t want to travel that long distance for camp. So that’s fine. If he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao some day, line ’em up."
As for when he expected to see Chavez Jr.- who faces Alfonso Gomez on December 4th- Roach said on Monday, "We’re supposed to see him today."

Well it seems that the Pacman camp according to Roach is not going well...Maybe Jr not being there is a good thing...it appears that there is so much going on w Pac now that its like a circus...I dont know if its a ploy by Roach to throw Margo camp off but he says its the worst training camp hes had!

thats bull shit last year with cotto they tried to lied that roach and manny were not on speaking tearms and that he was doing bad in sparring 24/7 is junk a show that lies to the fans

I'm going for Margo, but I think Pacaman will win. Too fast, and will hit Margo to easy. I hope Margo gets him, but don't think it will happen. Margo looks strong.
The start of this thread says 6 week training camp w/ Roach. As of tomorrow, it will be 5 weeks from the fight, and still no news of Chavez at Wild Card. WTF? Cain, I didn't want to rush to judgment before that he was taking Gomez lightly, but it seems you were right. Is the camp w/ Roach still on? Last time Jr got to Wild Card on the last day, and Roach had said he would have called of the traing w/ him if he had not arrived.

Yea i think that if Pacman boxes and chooses his spots to exchange he will win the fight...I feel that if Pacman exchanges too much w Margo it could put him in big trouble...This fight will tell us if Margos power was from wraps and not natural...Margo i think will hurt Manny one or twice in this fight...If Margo never hurts Manny then that says alot...If Manny makes it a brawl Margo has a good chance of landing a shot but again will the power be there?...Yea Jr is MIA...i hope he is right and he can take Gomez on 5 or 4 weeks training and i do hope he has kept in shape like everyone here says...Gomez not a slouch man said it before he is a tough cookie...Roach still has khan to train for his upcoming championship fight...were is Jr in all this?...maybe the kids ego is getting in the way of Roach putting khan and pacman ahead of him?
