i hear rumors that Jr will fight on November14 But he is supose to fight in tamaulipas in december 19?Does anyone know the truth?

YES its a done deal.jr will fight in the under card of pacquiao-cotto.some FUCKEN writer was talking hella bad about jr in the boxing news fucken hater.But arum Knows Mexican fans wont be very interested in this fight of the filipino star and puerto rico star because they are their rivals suposely.Jr makes very good ppv number for his age so that fight will bring cotto-pacquiao numbers up in ppv sellings

who is TROY ROWLAND???!!! boxrec has posted that Jr will be fighting this guy 11/14/09 cotto-pacquiao !!! is this guy a contender? One more WIN fight before the DUDDY fight? WTF!!! Jr better start fighting some guys on the to 20's 10's, i think is abouttime. I dont wanna keep paying to watch Jr fight NOBODIES!

OH.OH chavez jr fans.guess what i found out the ifght will be at 160.WTH is jr doing he was already doing good at 154 he had good movment good punching power he was already assured to face martinez in 2010summer for the bc title.he will fight this bout at 160 but then how will he go back to 154?.some is not right here Is arum planing something a fight at 160.future 160 king will be either pavlikORwilliams no way not yet.Jr needs to go back to 154

jr's rival is 6"0 whne was teh last time jr face a fighter with that height.sizes are equal and TROY ROWLAND a natural middleweight mmhhh.this is not a piece of cake like people say.

after this fight with TRoy who? Jr should be fighting top 10 contenders WTF! and then move his way up to A TITLE FIGHT. this is the process, right RAFREG? Jr is fighting for the title next year you say, is he ready?, has he shown anything on his last 40 fights that his ready to fight and defend the green belt? I DONT THINK SO!
does any know troy's record? well is 25-2-1-7 kos Anyone that knows boxing knows that this guy doesnt have punching power, right RAFREG? and unless he's got mayweather abilities to box, he's got no chance to beat JR. Like i said on my other post Jr is fighting another nobody!

jr. is not going to beat martinez, not with his current skills and resume, he needs to fight real contenders to get ready for a title fight, the fact that he is a PPV attraction is not going to help him win a title and believe me if arum actually believed he has the skills to be a champion he would throw him out there against any of the current champions in a heartbeat but he knows the kid aint that good and is just milking him as much as he can before the inevitable happens.
maybe one day he improves himself enough to be a champion, but this is certainly not the way to accomplish that goal, he has to take it step by step facing contenders first and then if he makes it past them he should challenge a champion.

yo soy mexicano, nacido en monterrey nuevo leon, criado en sonora, and i love watching a bloody fight, fighting on the inside and all that, but i think that the main objective is to win and become a champion, i just dont think that this is the way to do it, if he take this road he will fail.
a great boxer is a guy that can hit and avoid being hit, and if a guy has all the physical attributes to do that i dont see why he shouldnt do it, chavez jr doesnt need to fight like his father or like most of mexican fighters, because he is not your average mexican fighter he has long arms he is tall, he could easily win fight if he learns to box instead of brawling.
thats just my opinion, there is nothing wrong with any of the two styles, brawling and boxing, but the main goal is to win and to win you have to use all the tools and advantages you have, you cant just fight like that because thats how your daddy and all the other mexican fighters fought.

Well said Jose, we are not in the 70's 80's anymore. Boxing has evolved, is not about i'll take 20 shots and i'll give you one hard one in return. Rafreg, since you think you know boxing, you know Barrera? remember his style in the begining of his career? what did he do later and why? How about JM Marquez? Jr showed that he can box on the 2nd Vanda fight. He punched and moved pretty well. Im not angry nor upset the Jr was moving arround and avoiding punches...are you RAFREG? Jr showed great technique and skills,these two plus mexican heart, and a great chin...he's got potential!!!

well.guys marquez wasnt suported much because of his slick counter punching style intill he became a more agressive puncher.before this topic continues.WHERE is jr going to stay.he will fight at 160 for teh first time is he going to stay in that weight or go back to 154????he was finally looking good in 154.i think 160 will slow him down.for his age and for his expirence 160 fighters are really hard.154 is just right for him right now not alot of bad boys in that weight like in the welterweight division and the middleweight?what do you folks think what weight should jr chose

jose..i think jr needs to work his JAB better that way he will keep his rival at distance and will help him set up a body shot.but wouldnt liek him to become a boring defensive fighter

154 is OK. I think @ 147 he can become a monster. He could be like a Margarito with skills.

160.at 147 theres dangerous fighters yes they will be big fights that would sell very good but.mayweather,mosely,cotto,clottey not now.I do think he can handle berto and MARGAchetear.but his weight should be in my opinion.he was already looking good good speed good power.now 160 wil take his speed again.

roy like lehollier they are Caucasian/WHITE they have the weakest chins in boxing.we saw it with jason so i think jr has an advantage if he wors his power shots realy well.i think he should just look for a sneaky power shot.he doesnt have to prove he is tough and can go toe-toe we know he is tough.trust me white guys cant take a good shot in the chin
