Referee: Toby Gibson
The fighters have just touched gloves, and round one is about to begin.
- Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (23-1-1) vs. Carlos Molina (8-1-1)
-
- Round One: Chavez looks a bit tense and hasn't started off as quickly as he said he would. Molina landed more with the hook and won the round.
-
- Round two: A head-to-head action round. Julito was much more effective in the second half of this round, but not as much as he would be using the jab from the outside.
-
- Round three: Junior finally started out the round using the distance to his advantage, landing the jab, but the fight quickly progressed back into a head-to-head battle. Julito finally hurt Molina in the closing moments of the round, but it was Molina who had landed more punches throughout the round.
Molina is cut on his right eyelid.

Julito finally hurt Molina in the closing moments of the round, but it was Molina who had landed more punches throughout the round.
-
- Round four: Molina was a bit more hesitant coming out this round, going backwards more. The cut above his eye seems to be bothering him a bit. Molina landed a low blow halfway through the round. Referee Toby Gibson was ready to give Chavez a break, but he didn't want to take any. Chavez landed a hard right in the last minute of the round that hurt Molina, but Molina kept fighting back, though using some dirty tactics.
-
- Round Five: Chavez Jr. dominated the round much more. Molina was running most of the round, but Junior was still able to catch him with a few good body shots. A sure round for Junior, but he was doing a little taunting in the ring.
Next up is the sixth and final round.

-
- Round six: The second time Junior's been to the sixth round in a fight. Both fighters started the round quickly. Molina landed a good left hook to Junior's chin a minute in, but Jr didn't seem to feel it at all. More inside head-to-head slugging. Molina looked a little staggered in the final seconds, but the bell rang to end the round.
Judges' scorecards coming up.

- One judge scored it 57-57 even.
The other two scored it 58-56 for Chavez.
Still some boos in the crowd, a very close fight.

- Brian Viloria vs. Jose Antonio Aguirre
It's round seven. There have been no knockdowns, and it would seem that Aguirre is ahead on the scorecards by landing more punches, but it could go to Viloria based on more effective punches. Viloria looked to be looking for one good punch, and Aguirre took advantage in the meantime. Aguirre is bleeding a little from the nose and mouth, though, and Viloria is looking stronger.

-
- Carlos Molina Rocks and he should have been the winner!
-
- Amy and Angie rule. They really wanted Carlos to win! I would like to see a rematch! Bring it ON!
-
- Judges Hawkins & Ross - 116-112 Viloria
Judge Trowbridge - 117-111 Viloria
Viloria gets the unanimous decision based on effective punching, though Aguirre looked to have won most of the early rounds and landed more punches throughout the fight.

- The Margarito fight didn't last long. It took him just one minute 14 seconds to finish off Gomez.
Margarito had already hurt Gomez a couple of times, when he landed a hard right hook with Gomez against the ropes. Gomez was on his way to the canvas when he got hit with a few more good shots, including one last right, which kept ensured he would stay down. Gomez spit out his mouthpiece on the canvas and referee Richard Steele waved off the fight.

- Oh yeah Julio Won!!!!!!!! That's my man!
-
- This was a very close fight, Molina has some heart he does, but i think Chavez would have definetaly done better if there were soem more rounds. I think it would be better to have Chavez get 10 rounds.
-
- CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!

- CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!
-
- Molina has a workmanlike style. Average Power throws alot of punch's and has a good chin. I agree if Junior had some more rounds eventually Molina would have folded. Junior can punch.
-
- i think chavez is the best and if you think molina should have won well there is no hope for you

- i cant belive u nuthuggers think Julio won.
JCC jr is the most overrated boxer in mexico ever. I cant belive ppl want to watch his fights against bums.
Theres so much more talent in other mexican fighters.
Chavez has a good record but who has he been fighting?
Any other fighter with that record would already be challenging for a world title.
JCC jr will never be anywhere close where his father was period.

-
Hi, Roberto. Actually, it's much easier to get a good record than to get a title shot. Don't worry, Junior will get there. He has plenty of time since he is just 20 after all. And we do encourage you to watch all the other Mexican fighters too - not just him. There's plenty of great boxing on tv these days if you get the right channels. Or go to the fights if you live nearby and tell us about it.
