    • Hate to say it but never going to happen. I'd like to see it happen, don't know who i'd root for, I wouldn't want DLH to KO Jr, but yet I wouldn't feel as bad if JR KO's DLH. I like both, but the dreams of DLH coming back and giving another great peformence is just that, a dream. He had the chance to do it against Mayweather and Pacquiao, I wish he had done it. He just couldn't pull it off, he cant hang with the big boys no more, his body cant do it. Everyone gets old eventually, it happens to all these great fighters, and almost all of them will end up losing the same way DLH and Chavez did at the end of their hall of fame careers. As long as Mayweather, Pacquiao, Mosley and all these other fighters hang around the sport of boxing, they will eventually wind up fighting someone who will give them a sound ass whooping. Theres no getting around it. Unless, of course, they retire and never come back. But how often does a fighter stay retired?

    • Considering the last two post's, wouldn't you guys agree that De La Hoya is bound to sooner or later come back and box again, we've seen it in a lot of boxers, or is he different, what do you guys think?

    • I actually believe DLH on this one. Of course no one knows what goes on in the mind of DLH, and most fighters do unretire, but this was one of those situations where under these circumstances, retirement was really the only option. That or become this generations Mike Tyson, or even a 40+ yr old JC Chavez. DLH never wanted to become a circus show draw, he wanted nothing but legit fights at the highest lever with the best fighters in the world and make lots of money while doing it. Well, he can't do that anymore, so he was left with the choice but to retire. It had to happen sometime, and its ok it happened. Nothing wrong with him retiring and nothing wrong if he never comes back, hes paid his dues. Enjoy your retirement Oscar!

    • As I stated when I started this post, De La Hoya will come back, I'm pretty sure by now you guys know about Oscar participating in an exhibition fight in Panama, the event is called KO against drugs or something like that, well he will be doing an exhibition fight then, call it whatever you exhibition, whatever, he's fighting, so now I just read an article on yahoo boxing wich states he will be participating in Shaquille O'neal's new program, he will actually be fighting Shaq, again, call it a TV show or whatever you want, but he is still fighting, part of the article states Oscar saying this, "the competitive juices are flowing again" in my opinion Oscar will sooner or later come back, what do you guys think?
