    • Saturday night Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. won a very close majority decision over Carlos Molina, who fought him to a draw last December. In this fight, Julito was able to hurt Molina a few times and had him running for much of the fight and would almost definitely have won had the fight been scheduled for more than six rounds (possibly even by knockout). However, Molina had both a huge heart enough strength to keep fighting and threw more punches (and fouling a bit) to keep the fight competitive, though he was never able to so much as make Julito feel the punches he was landing.

Chavez is now 24-0-1, 18 KOs.
Molina drops to 8-2-1, 4 KOs.

      Final scores:
      Judge: Duane Ford 58-56
      Judge: Patricia Morse Jarman 58-56
      Judge: Jerry Roth 57-57

    • Jose Luis Camarillo interviewed Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for ESTO.

"It was a hard, close fight. Molina has a difficult style, but I think I won more clearly."

Regarding the boos from the crowd at the result of the fight: "I think that the crowd didn't like that I didn't knock him out in the last round. The important thing is that I beat him."

      - "Will you fight Molina again?"

"If there is a third fight, it won't be until later."

      - "Does still fighting at six rounds affect you?

"Yes, because I don't have time to wear down my opponent; I have to fight round by round."

      - "What are you doing after this fight?"

"Rest a few days and then go back to the gym, at the Otomi in Mexico City or in Culiacan, because I'm going to fight again on the Mayweather - Judah card on April 8th, along with 'Travieso' Arce against Rosendo Alvarez."

    • Sorry, it was a Top Rank pay-per-view. Fights are only ever replayed if they're presented by HBO or Showtime PPV.
