Chavez jr calls oscar de la hoya & el canelo

Saturday night chavez talked to tvazteca, he said he dosent need to fight alvarez, he needs jr and hes been talking to get attention, so he will fight el canelo if oscar de la hoya fights him after that, anyway he said canelo and his people makes him laugh. i dont have a link right now.

This cant be correct...DLH is long gone man...I really would not want to watch Jr pummel DLH...Oscar is far gone man leave the man alone...I could not see Jr still wanting to fight Oscar...Canelo...i cant see Jr kicking up dust to fight this kid...Jr is past all that...If this story is true its crazy that Jr is still trying to get revenge for his dad...He should let it go...He would get nothing out of beating and old retired boxer...When DLH fought Sr he was still active...Oscar has not been active for long time...

Yeah, but I think it also has to do with Canelos promotion, he recently signed with golden boy, first canelo said he wants jr and hell ko, then DLH saying canelo is the real new mexican star in a clear reference to Chavez jr, among other things they been saying in order to promote Alavarez, now Jr seemed to be pissed and hes had enough of these guys, he minimized Canelo, said he doesnt need him at all, but also he seemed to be pissed at DLH most of all for the things hes been saying. I remember 1 years ago or so, jr saying that he respected DLH retirement descicion, so I think it has to do more with Oscar wanting to get attention for canelo and golden boy, thats why jr is calling him now. Jr seems aware he dosnt need alvarez and he wont fight him nearly. Jr also said "if I win to cotto, if, because I respect him a lot but ill do my best". its seems jr is taking cotto seriously.

Agreed, he should forget about DLH. Also, Canelo seems to be getting enough traction on his own, and shouldn't have to be calling out Chavez. He's also in a lower weight division, for now. Nevertheless, here are the numbers
1st fight - 6/7/96, DLH (age 23), JCC (33)
2nd fight - 9/18/98, DLH (25), JCC (36)Today - JCC Jr (24), DLH (37)

Yeah, canelo backed down, he is saying he jr is no good so he is not interested, and also said jr has to come down to 147 to fight, so basically canelo knows jr can kick his ass. and as I said jr is very serious about miguel cotto. he said he is going to phillippines to sparr pacman for 4 weeks, specifically in wich ways do you guys think this will benefit jr. also ariza said they will complete a 10 week preparation program. your thoughts?

you guys forgot to watch golpe a golpe on july 3rd canelo showed respect to jr and said if he gets to his weight than they might fight.10 weeks of training.do you gusy think jr will be weak going down in weight kinda like what cotto did against pacquiao that he train for 12 weeks and was really weak

First i think Jr sparring w Pacman is great...Pacman fought and dominated Cotto...Pacman i think can give Jr clues on how to beat Cotto...Pacmans speed will give Jr that eagle eye and when he fights Cotto Jr will box his shoes off...I still would love to see Jr have one more tune-up fight under Roach before Cotto but like i said before if Roach thinks its time cant doubt him...As far as Canelo goes i dont think Jr needs him at this point...Canelo get much props but he still seems a little green...Raw...I also think that Jr would be nice at 147 but he seems to be a thick kid...im not sure if his body can handle that...Last fight against Duddy he came in ripped and thin and believe he still weighed 160...so going down to 147 may not be an option any more...154 jr comes in ripped!!!Much comp at 154...Cant believe Jr may be fighting for the 154 Championship by years end...

look at chavez jr's face and his body the little you can see.he is active he is not laying in bed waiting for ariza and roach to call him to come to LA.with 3 1/2 months to go looks like he wont have issues making the weight i like what im seing here

JR will never fight at 147 again!!!---154-160+ is now his weight...His power is not carrying up so needs to keep improving that boxing skill...

I had posted before that WBC wants Martinez to fight Chavez Jr....Here is what Martinez has to say: "No disrespect to the young kid. I think it's wonderful that he's my mandatory. I'll go to Mexico and they can use Julio Sr. and Julio Jr.'s mom as two of the judges, because it still won't matter." -- middleweight champion Sergio Martinez, mocking the WBC's decision to name Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. his mandatory challenger for a fight that it has ordered to take place after Martinez makes an optional defense in the fall...........sounds like fighting words to me...I truly doubt Jr will fight him...not now!

cain that was last year when he was not with Roach that sergio said those things plus he promises alot of things,he promise he was goign to KO williams and pavlik didnt hapend he was the one knock down cuz of his bad balance

Jr should stay the hell away from Martinez. The guy is a southpaw and his style is really strange but effective. He's not a very heavy hitter but he wins fights. On top of this, Martinez is a natural middleweight and is a lot better than Duddy.
