    • This is going to be a good good fight...Both fighters bring it!!!...Id like to see Chavez box more vs Gomez kind of like he did vs Duddy those first 3 rounds...If Jr can box more he should cruise to a victory if he decides to bang it will be another marathon and will be harder for Jr to win...Last time Gomez looked very good Yea it was an over the hill Castillo but he looked good...Chavez should win this one!

    • last friday I read an interview with chavez jr, he said he is going to fight alfonso gomez on dec 4th, he said he doesnt have a contract right now, and he is listening offerings and will take the one thats better for him, but he said he is initially talking with top rank and will see what they offer, he said hes been aproached by golden boy and don king.

he said is going to philipines, not because of pacquiao, but beacause freddy roach is over there he has to be there for training and learning, but he said he will sparr manny.

he also said he respects the way canelo fougth baldomir, but he said he was double the age, he had a year retired and had to come down 40 pounds, he said baldomir was not allowed to gain more than 5 pounds after the weight-ins, I respect canelo but that was the truth he feels was an abuse on baldomir.

    • if thats the case he should go with don king.Julio sr would of NOT been so dam great if it wasnt for don KING.if you think about it don king made the last 3 legends tyson, chavez, trinidad there has not yet been more great consistant fighters since those 3.king if no dought the best promoter in the world.thats why mayweather wants to go with him

    • Don King would be the wrong decision!!!!Chavez Sr filed a lawsuit against King cause Don was stealing his money...Same w Tyson...NO WAY CHAVEZ JR signs w Don the RAT King...Jr staying w Top Rank you can take that to the bank...About GBP making Baldo go through all that i can totally see them doing that...GBP losing alot of my respect...It happens fighters and their promoters getting the upper hand...Mayweather did it to DLH and Mayweather did it to JMM as well...

    • GBP is loosing alot of respect.well look who is its president dlh that.you right don king has been acused of stealing his fighters's money but his ppv cards were way better than gbp's and top rank's

    • Yea King did put up good ppv fights thats for sure...One thing Ralph, Trinidad a legend?...I dont think so...Trinidad was a good and sometimes great fighter but his resume is rather weak to be considered a LEGEND...Chavez def a Legend...Iron Mike also a LEGEND...Trini though id have to disagree...

    • in the eyes of casual fans...he was better than de la hoya and and very popular guy.just so you get a idea of king's ppv cards he put chavez and trinidad in the same night 1993 azteca stadium both fighting world championship fights wich both ended in spectacular ko's

    • I Think he's been doing pretty good with arum, lets face it, hes been lazy and has wasted a lot of time, but Arum and beltran have made things to help him, like contacting roach and getting bad opponents so he develops, but hes wasted time and now it seems it comes the better times for him, he should stay with arum,I believe Arum built initially the whole latin fury thing around jr and seems to me it worked fine so far.

      just an opinion.

    • I don't like this one. I read they agreed to fight at 157. Gomez fights at 147. Just seems like Chavez will be too big for him. I'll be at the fight, but I think the should have gotten a better test before stepping in with Cotto. Also, I didn't watch contender, so not too sure who Gomez is. But I do remember Cotto KO'd him with a jab, and simply outclassed him. So I don't think it's a good prep fight.

    • Ralphy Cotto and Gomez totally dif fighters...Cotto is on a few levels higher...Gomez is a good fighter i watched him come up all way from Contender...Great story...he was suppose to be the worst guy on show everyone wanted to fight him and he was first to fight and he surprised everyone by choosing the fighter everyone picked to win Peter Manfredo who himself is a middleweight guy...Gomez beat him!!!...So beware!!...anyway kid came up fought everyone and surprised everyone everytime...he has improved greatly i say him and Chavez around same level right now w Chavez maybe taking a slight lead now w Roach...Cotto beat Gomez down...Cotto was in his prime...Gomez beat a old Gatti and a old Castillo but good wins...he beat Manfredo...he has beat good fighters...Gomez is no slouch guys he is good not great but good...
