ARUM dead serious he is making Jr-pavlik fight dec4th at cowboys stadium.first they will have jr fight on sep11th against a solid fighter says bob that fight will ley us know if jr has what it takes to pull it of against kelly altough im exited for this fight BUT jr basically says good bye to 154.what you guys think dangerous fight huh?but thats what we have always ask him for

Wow! He better look really good in the Sept fight before making the Pavlik fight.

I dont think he is ready for the ghost... he should go down to 154 where he could have more power and can develop a little more working with roach, there are fights with a lot of money involved at 154, including Cotto who is a great fighter and being puertorican its garanteed to sell big time, why riskin it with pavlik?

roach thinks he is finished that he is washed up.what you guys think.looked really bad against hopkins,martinez.and even against miranda and jermain taylor miranda cought him god once but kelly came back jermain taylor well i think you all saw how pavlik's chin was exposed in that 2nd round.he pavlik has problems with fighters that move and that can punch

I think jr doesnt have enough power at 160, and he is not that mobile boxer, if he doesnt hurt kelly, sooner or later it will become a fight inside, like duddy's, and pavlik still has his power, dont think its a good idea right now, maybe roach is wrong, fighting at cowboy stadium against the "son of the legend" its a big motivator, and the ghost can punch, if he works hard and gets in shape for this one, I see a really tough one for jr.

you gusy chavez jr does have advantages at this point of kelly pavlik's carrer and alot of peopel know it kelly has serious problems making weight his chin is not an iron chin like duddy its one of the weakest ones in boxing.Jr against kelly can do what he was tought from day 1 fight inside and not give him chance to load that right hand on you chavez will be the smaller guy with the least reach so he could go to infighting.you gusy might think im crazy but cotto would be more of a struggle than kelly.i mean watch kelly carefully he has alot of weaknesses

intererting to see how he'll to against taller guys. I was thinking that Paul Williams would be a good match-up for him. I know most think he'd get killed right not by PW, but PW did not look good in those few rounds with Cintron. I can see Jr. fighting inside on him and going to work on the lanky PW, I'd like to see those body shots.
I think Chavez Jr would have a tougher time with the quicker guys like Cotto and Sergio Martinez.

I read on espn that this fight was pretty much a done deal...I wonder if Kelly is just shot and something we dont know cause thats a big jump from Duddy to Pavlik...A real powerful guy who is no joke...Yea he is older but still very dangerous...At this point i think Chavez Jr is ready though...no more baby steps...He was in good shape...8 weeks Chavez will walk in ripped...I think its a good fight and a better step forward for Jr...He has the trainer the coach...i say do it...Let the new legend begin.
