I guess i should not call him coward just annoyed that it took a long time for the rematch to happen for "Oscar vs Chavez 2" Apparently Chavez wanted the rematch right away, but De La Hoya hesitated in giving Chavez the rematch right away. instead i believe it took 2 years and a couple of months for the fight to finally happen. You can actually hear this discussion on the Chavez biography. and yes your right Chavez Sr is one of the worlds all time greatest fighters! hoping JR becomes one himself.

Oscar is not a coward, we cant take away anything from him, he won ten titles, still he wont be remembered as one of the best of all time, he lost the fights that might have put him there. he couldnt shake off the shadow of Julio Cesar Chavez who he fight when julio was too old, so most mexicans wanted to see him face jr, and its just dissapointing that doesnt happen, we respect his descision and wish him the best, but not fighthing Jr is also gonna afect him in the future in the way he is remembered as a fighter. Julio Sr. would have beat 20 times the hell out of oscar if he'd been in his prime, but he was old, still HE FOUGHT HIM TWICE, and thats part of the price julio had to pay to be remembered as the best mexican fighter ever, not to mention his win over meldrick Taylor in wich julio never quit as oscar did with hopkins, in the end he prevaled when everything seemed lost, and that my friends is what really makes the diference between a good figther like Oscar and one of the world's All-time Great fighther like Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.

wow limitidz that pretty harsh oscar a coward who did he he duck when did he duck someone he fought the best and most of the time he beat the best the only time he lost was to great hall of famers he was ten time world champion in 6 different weight classes by all means i see no coward in there the only thing that i might make sense of your comment is maybe when he dropped to hopkins other than that all his fights where great and competitive and well maybe the pacman fight but we all know he was weight drained and old by then . again i ask why was he a coward???

"his first real test is when he fights a top ten 154 pounder IMO. Dont care if its the #10 guy or the #2 guy, he has to beat someone up there" CB

I dont get Jr. Why is he into fighting Duddy? how come he wants to fight a guy that is currently fighting at 160 lbs...maybe walking around with 170, 180 lbs...
There are plenty of boxers in the 154 weight class at top level that he can fight, learn and beat...
Can someone make sense out of this???

Cainp here...yea he is suppose to fight Duddy in New York...Jr asked himself to step up and fight Duddy when they were interviewing him after the fight and Arum was standing next to him...On that note i think this fight is nice for Jr but honestly i dont think he is ready he is right under Duddy...I think it will go to a decision but it will be a lobsided decision...It would be fantastic if Jr proved me wrong...but Duddy has a nice hard jab that sticks you and sticks you...Jrs defense has some holes and he eats a lot of jabs...against Duddy though who usually fights at 160 that jab will prove disasterous...I would love to see this fight...Jr just doesnt have enough expirience...hope he proves me wrong...

duddy is more likely to fight Jr, that
s gonna be the real deal, jr himself will find out what he
s made for. anyone knows if anyone in chavez camp has said anything about a new trainer?

Well based off of the fight Bob Arum mentioned these guys for his next supposedly big fight..... what do you guys think is the more realistic fight happening? In my honest opinion before he even fights any of these guys he needs a new trainer.....he has long arms!!! he needs to use them instead of fighting inside..... as for who i would love to see him fight next obviously Oscar De La Hoya! maybe that's what Oscar has for his big announcement coming in mid April??? but more than likely see Chavez fighting Duddy. I want to see Chavez Jr dismantle Oscar De La Hoya just like Manny Pacquiao Dang IT!!!
