
Chavez vs. Urrea
Fighting at the Arena Itson in Ciudad Obregon Sonora, Omar Chavez made quick work of his bout against Carlos Urrea (8-14, 3 KOs). After two knockdowns, Urrea was unable to continue, giving Omar the KO victory at 2:39 into the second round. Chavez upped his record to 19-0-1, 14 KOs.
Also on the card, Humberto Soto moved up in weight to win an unanimous decision over Jesus Chavez. Nehomar Cerreno scored an eleventh round knockout over Alejandro Valdez for the Interim WBA Bantamweight title. Hernan Marquez knocked out Ricardo Armenta in two rounds.
