The excitement will begin when the bell rings at 1:00 pm, inside Julio Cesar Chavez Campeones’ Restaurant and Family Entertainment Center with delicious Mexican food, impressive 125″ HD televisions, and spacious Children’s arcade.

All will experience a fun-filled day of valuable giveaways, one of a kind contests, and half-time interactive entertainment.

“The sound system at Campeones is awesome. Patrons will feel as if they were inside the football stadium,” says Norma Armenta, Event Director.

The event is presented by Coors Light the official beer of the Super Bowl.

A Knock Out Extravaganza is co-produced by Accion Events and Julio Cesar Chavez Campeones.

Chavez vs. Urrea

Fighting at the Arena Itson in Ciudad Obregon Sonora, Omar Chavez made quick work of his bout against Carlos Urrea (8-14, 3 KOs). After two knockdowns, Urrea was unable to continue, giving Omar the KO victory at 2:39 into the second round. Chavez upped his record to 19-0-1, 14 KOs.

Also on the card, Humberto Soto moved up in weight to win an unanimous decision over Jesus Chavez. Nehomar Cerreno scored an eleventh round knockout over Alejandro Valdez for the Interim WBA Bantamweight title. Hernan Marquez knocked out Ricardo Armenta in two rounds.

Chavez vs. Rowland

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr won a ten-round decision over Troy Rowland (25-2, 7 KOs) with scores of 99-91, 98-92, and 97-93.

After the fight, the Nevada Athletic Commission claimed that he used the diuretic Furosemide, a banned substance. If found guilty, Chavez could face a fine and suspension, with the result of the bout changed to a no-contest.

In the main event, Manny Pacquiao knocked out Miguel Cotto in the twelfth round to claim the WBO Welterweight title. Also on the card, Yuri Foreman scored a decision win over Daniel Santos to claim the WBA Light Middleweight title. Alfonso Gomez won a technical decision over Jesus Soto Karass after the bout was stopped on cuts in the sixth round.

Chavez vs. Ventry

In his New York debut, Omar Chavez scored an early knockdown against James Ventry (7-9-1) but was unable to keep the advantage. The fight went the six-round distance with two judges scoring 58-55 and the other scoring 59-54 in Omar’s favor.

The bout was on the undercard of Juan Manuel Lopez’s successful WBO Super Bantamweight title defense over Rogers Mtagwa with a majority decision. Also on the card, Yuriorkis Gamboa defended his WBA Featherweight title with a fourth-round KO over Whyber Garcia and John Duddy won an eight-round unanimous decision over Michi Munoz.

This was Chavez’s first time back in the ring since his July 18 rematch against Marco Nazareth, which ended tragically with Nazareth dying just days afterwards from a subdural hematoma suffered during the bout.

After dropping LeHoullier with a left hook in the first round, Junior moved in for the finish. Referee Ruben Carrion stopped the fight at 2:43, and Chavez Jr’s record improves to 40-0-1 (30 KO’s).

Also on the card, WBO Minimumweight titlist Donnie Nietes retained his title with a split decision over Manuel Vargas, and Fernando Montiel’s bout against Alex Valdez ended on cuts after the third round and resulted in a technical draw.

“Qué Viva México de un Solo Golpe III” will take place at the Palenque del Recinto de la Feria in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, and will feature Jorge Arce vs. Simphiwe Nongqayi for the vacant IBF Super Flyweight title.

Also on the card, Humberto Soto will put his WBC Super Featherweight title on the line against Josenilson Dos Santos, and Ulises “Archie” Solis will take on Gilberto Keb Baas.

The card will be broadcast on TV Azteca / Azteca America.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The match between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 39-0-1 (29 KOs) and Jason LeHoullier, 21-1-1 (8 KOs) will now be featured on Top Rank’s Latin Fury 11 on September 12 in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.

The match was originally scheduled to take place on the Latin Fury X card on July 25 in the same city. Chavez Jr postponed the bout due to a rib injury.

Also on the September 12 card, WBO Minimumweight champ Donnie Neites will be defending his title against Manuel Vargas.
