Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs. John Duddy

At Latin Fury 15, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr made a victorious debut at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, with a twelve-round decision over John Duddy. This was Chavez’s first fight with new trainer Freddie Roach and conditioning coach Alex Ariza. The judge’s scorecards were 120-108, 117-111, and 116-112.

Undercard:

  • Marco Antonio Barrera won a ten-round unanimous decision over Adailton De Jesus.
  • Raul Martinez knocked out Gabriel Elizondo in the seventh round of their bout.
  • Tomas Villa scored an eight-round decision over Salvador Sanchez II (nephew of the former world champion with the same name).
