Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 154, scored an impressive first round knockout over Jason LeHoullier, 154, Saturday night in the main event of Latin Fury 11. Chavez had received criticism for delaying the fight due to injury but entered the ring ready to dispel any doubts. After dropping LeHoullier with a left hook in the first round, Junior moved in for the finish. Referee Ruben Carrion stopped the fight at 2:43, and Chavez Jr’s record improves to 40-0-1 (30 KO’s).

Also on the card, WBO Minimumweight titlist Donnie Nietes retained his title with a split decision over Manuel Vargas, and Fernando Montiel’s bout against Alex Valdez ended on cuts after the third round and resulted in a technical draw.
